Two historic castles in one day
Year 7 pupils at the Senior School recently had the opportunity to explore two local castles during a trip linked to their studies about life in the Middle Ages.
The first stop was Framlingham Castle, with many of the pupils getting excited about passing Ed Sheeran’s house on the outskirts of Framlingham! After spending some time examining the key features of Framlingham, the group was lucky to have fine weather and enjoy their lunch outside in the grounds of the castle. The next stop was Orford Castle, which provided an interesting contrast for the pupils because of its varied design to Framlingham.
All of the pupils were a credit to the School and worked well throughout the day. A big thank you to the staff who accompanied them – Mrs Revell, Ms Corser, Dr Schofield and Head of History, Mr Felton.
