Year 5 Trip to West Stow
This week the Year 5 pupils visited the Anglo-Saxon settlement of West Stow and explored what life was like in Anglo-Saxon England! The pupils handled artefacts and dressed up in Anglo-Saxon armour and everyday clothes. Their afternoon investigated the replica village, where they had to determine the function of each house! During an engaging question session, answers were discovered for some very important questions: ‘How does Santa get in without a chimney?’ and ‘Where did the Anglo-Saxons go to the toilet?’ It was great fun for all of the pupils and brought the history lessons at Langley to life!
