Bluebell Nursery explore their outside environment

This week in Bluebell Nursery, we have been looking at one of our areas of the EYFS: Understanding the World.

All classes have explored their outside environments and have enjoyed finding some special creatures.

Seedlings enjoyed observing a beetle and playing in their garden. They also enjoyed observing the downpour of rain whilst happily sitting in their prams with a snack.

Acorns and Oaks got super excited by a visit from our very own Super Worm. The children took turns to have a hold and describe how the worm felt.

Charlotte said: “Look, I am holding him with my glove on!”

We also found a toad in our grassed garden. The children took turns touching and asking questions about Mr Toad.

Ayomide asked, “What does Mr Toad eat?”
Kym’s Response was, “Slugs, snails and worms!”
The children responded with “YUK!”

The children then waved goodbye when Kym released him into the woods.
