Bluebell Nursery explore transport and measuring

This week in Bluebell Nursery, we have had another busy week.

Seedlings explored their topic of transport and movement; they have enjoyed playing with musical instruments singing songs, and making loud and quiet noises with the instruments. We have enjoyed playing in our garden in the sunshine, climbing and sliding on our outdoor equipment. We also have got creative and messy with paint creating our vehicle pictures.

Acorns and Oaks have been focusing on our mathematical, personal, social, and emotional areas of development this week. The children have been talking about what makes them happy and their favourite toys and activities at school.

Acorns enjoyed an activity of measuring their friends and standing next to our measuring giraffe. They also enjoyed filling and emptying different tubs and colanders with sand and observing what would happen next.

Oaks also looked at measuring, but this time with scales. They enjoyed filling the buckets with different toys and finding out what was heavier and lighter. The conversation continued to our lunchtime table, where children began guessing if the rice was lighter or heavier than the cauliflower!
