Students tour Brunel and meet an Olympian

6 Sixth Form BrunelOn Wednesday 8th December, Mrs Vinsen and Mrs Greenwood took a small group of Upper Sixth students to the Open Day at Brunel University to help guide them in making their final University choices for their UCAS applications.

The day began with a tour of campus, taking in key facilities including lecture theatres, student accommodation, the student union, the sports centre and the indoor athletics centre – this proved to be a real highlight because, much to Grace and Mrs Vinsen’s delight, they met the University’s resident athletics coach, Olympic medalist Linford Christie OBE!

Students then had the opportunity to speak with subject representatives before exploring the campus further independently. The final group tour was of the sports pitches, which included some wonderful new facilities alongside a sneek peek at the new multi-million pound training facility for the the Brunel Students who occupy an elusive place as an Ealing Trailfinders’ rugby scholar.

A fantastically informative and enjoyable day was had by all!
