‘Be the Future’ Business competition

BusinessYear 10 Business pupils are finalising their entries for the upcoming ‘Be the Future’ competition, which runs in collaboration with the Peter Jones Foundation. For the competition, pupils have to come up with a Social Enterprise idea that does three things;

– addresses a social or environmental issue
– links to one of the UN’s sustainable development goals
– has the potential to be profitable.

Helen Yates, Head of Business and Economics at the Senior School says, ‘I have been so impressed with all the creative ideas including Will and Isaac’s idea for an edible bubble to hold drinks, Gracia’s idea for a recruitment agency aimed at helping women and the LGBTQ+ community break through the glass ceiling, and Thomas’s idea for recycling tyres into welly boots (wheel to heel) to name but a few.’

Entries close on 19th March and we look forward to hearing the competition results.
