Certificate from the Read for Good charity that shows Langley School is an outstanding Readathon School

‘Children who read for pleasure are more likely to do well in school, have better-paying jobs and better health and well-being.’ – Read for Good

Each year at the end of the Trinity Term the Read for Good charity run the ‘readathon’ for the Years 6, 7 & 8’s. Each child is sponsored to read, and the money raised is given to Read for Good. The charity supports buying books and providing readers for sick children in hospital, including The Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

It is an amazing opportunity to encourage reading as fun for the pupils, to improve their reading and literacy, while also allowing pupils to get involved in raising money for charity and appreciate their access books.

Langley has received a certificate from the Read for Good charity that shows Langley School is an outstanding Readathon School and to appreciate the support the Langley community has given to the charity. Langley has continued to run and raise money for the charity for the last 8 years and it is something we look forward to supporting in the future.
