Early Years focus on wellbeing

This week in Acorn and Oaks, pupils have focused on the topic of growing, including planting, measuring, painting and sequencing.

Acorn class also produced some beautiful handprint flowers for our wellbeing week. They listened to the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and have planted their very own magic beans.

Oak class used language about height during their numeracy activities and discovered different ways to measure their own height, including using cubes, bricks and string. Meanwhile, Acorn class used sequencing pictures to show the stages of growth for themselves and showed some great scissor skills.

The bluebell walk was the highlight of their week, as they were able to see the flowers, trees and plants growing in the woods. The children used their senses of smell, sound and sight, observing the wildlife and clouds.
