Team win for Langley Lightning

Despite a very damp start to Saturday, after four races at the Greenpower-organised Lotus-sponsored Hethel Heat 2021 event, the Langley Lightning F24 was placed 3rd in the kit car class and Langley was also awarded the Best Presented Team.

Congratulations go to our three superb drivers: Will (Beauchamp, Year 7) for immense consistency in lap timings by keeping within two seconds throughout his race. Will (St Giles, Year 9) for some fantastic wheel to wheel racing, and beating one of our closest rivals to the chequered flag. Toby (Mancroft, Year 7) for starting the racing and placing the car towards the front of the grid.

A special mention must go to Arlo (St Giles, Year 9) for managing the team with support from Cameron (St Giles, Year 9). The attention to detail for the closed season developments and pre-race preparation ensured that the car was reliable throughout the day. Arlo’s presentation and knowledge of the aims and targets for the team certainly impressed the Greenpower staff.

The team looks forward to entering other races in the future and closing the gap on local rivals, and has great plans for further car development.
