Langley School celebrates increases in A-Level grades across all measures
Langley School sixth formers have delivered a fantastic set of A-Level and BTEC results this year. In several subjects, including Chemistry, Economics, French, and Photography, all students gained A* to B grades. Our BTEC results continue to shine, with a large proportion scoring the top grade, Distinction *.
Our proportion of top grades, grade A* to B stands at 61.1%, up almost 10 percentage points on 2023. Several students have earned a clean sweep of A and A* grades, and one student has excelled across 5 A levels, scoring 1 A*, 3 A’s and 1 B.
Our sixth formers always move on to a broad range of destinations post-Langley, and this year is no exception. University destinations include Cambridge, Imperial College, Exeter, Loughborough, Leeds, Durham, and London University of Arts.
Simon Cooke, Headmaster of Langley Senior School, commented:
“I am extremely proud of these impressive results. Once again, our young people have demonstrated the value of their hard work. Our overall results, at 81.2% achieving A* to C, represent a fantastic springboard for each of our students as they move on to new opportunities in life.
I am very grateful to our teaching staff who have both encouraged and challenged our students throughout their journey with us, and who have so much to be proud of in these results.
It is always with mixed emotions that we see a group of Sixth Formers move on from Langley, and we wish them all huge success in their next destinations. Our goal is to equip our young people to go into the world with confidence and capability, and these results are a testament to that.
Whilst we are a proudly non-selective school, our ambitions for our pupils have no boundaries. We look forward to continuing this journey with our incoming Sixth Form students”.
