Meet The Team: Jason Hyatt, Head of Langley Prep School
Name & Job Title
Jason Hyatt, Head of Langley Prep School
Where did you join Langley from/what was your previous role?
I was previously Deputy Head at Gresham’s School up in North Norfolk.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your new role at Langley…
I am excited to be joining Langley Prep again after having previously been the Deputy Head here five years ago. It is wonderful to be working with many families who were here when I was Deputy Head, and to be working with many new families who are new to the Langley community. It is such a warm and happy environment with so much space for the children to explore and learn in.
What are you most looking forward to in your new role at Langley?
I am looking forward to meeting and working with all the children across the school and being part of their educational journey. I am looking forward to handing out ‘Radiator Of The Week’ awards in assemblies to those who are kind and considerate. I enjoy all aspects of sport, and I look forward to seeing the children participate in their different coaching sessions and matches. A particular highlight is seeing the drama productions and listening to the children in the musical soirees.
Any hobbies/interests outside of school?
I enjoy my hockey as both a player and coach at Norwich City who share their pitches with Langley Prep. I am also found close to the sea with my interest in sailing and boating over at Brancaster Sailing Club. I love walking my dog around the stunning grounds at the Prep School, along with regularly watching Norwich play football.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
I used to be in a marching band playing trombone!
