Pre-Prep Leavers Assembly and Presentation to Mrs Fry

Our Pre-Prep Leavers Assembly and presentation were a great success. A special highlight was a presentation to Mrs Fry from the children.

This was an incredibly special assembly where the Year 2 children were presented with books as they move on into the Prep school, and also, each of the classes did a tribute to Mrs Fry.

Reception presented a wonderful poem by Mrs Daws with illustrations to match, Year 1 talked about what a wonderful teacher she is and Year 2 sang an adapted version by Mrs Codman of the song So long Farewell from the Sound of Music. The children also sang three of Mrs Fry’s favourite songs for her, including one of her own school songs, “When a Knight won his Spurs”.

It was a wonderful celebration of Mrs Fry’s time with us. At the end of the Assembly, Mrs Fry was presented with a memory hamper by Mrs Daws. She also was given a book of memories from the children. Mrs Fry will be missed tremendously, but we all wish her a happy retirement.
