Prep soiree delights audience

On Tuesday 8th February, a number of pupils from Years 2 to 8 performed in the Inner Hall during a special musical soiree, featuring a variety of instruments including piano, violin, clarinet, voice, and woodwind ensemble.

For some it was their first time performing, for others it was examination preparation, and for some it was quite simply a chance to show their love and passion for music.

Director of Music Miss Briggs commented on how wonderful it was to have an audience again. She said, “It was really great to all come together, as we all benefit from music, be it performing or being in the audience.”

Daisy L in Year 8 shared a super quote from Roy Ayers, “The true beauty of music is that it connects people. It carries a message and we, the musicians, are the messengers.”
