Preparing for your A-Level results
As we approach A-Level results day, we’d like to remind our students of a few key tips for the big day:
Plan your day – Results are available from the Alston Centre from 8.00 am. We encourage all students to arrive as close as possible to this time to ensure that we can be swift with the UCAS and/or clearing process where necessary, as this is time-sensitive. The results will then be published on my school portal at 2 pm.
Ensure you have everything you need – You will need your UCAS login, working mobile and the contact details of your chosen universities.
Check UCAS Track – Your UCAS Hub will show you the progress of your applications. This will start updating from around 8.00 am for A-level students on results day.
Learn more about Clearing – If you applied to university, familiarise yourself with the UCAS website and the Clearing process. Clearing allows you to explore available university places if you haven’t received the expected offers.
Seek Career Advice – If you’re unsure about your career options, remember you can seek advice from teachers, career advisors, or professionals in your areas of interest. We are always here to help!
Get a good night’s sleep – Feeling rested is essential if you’re going to make big decisions.
Don’t let others phase you – Remember that you define your own goals.
Take a moment to breathe – You’ve got this. Good luck!
A-level results day marks the beginning of a new chapter in your life after Langley. Remember that no matter the outcome, there are numerous opportunities and paths to success.
