Pupil voice in Chapel and School Council

Gathering together ‘face to face’ is an important part of life in any community, and something that hasn’t been the same online or in vastly restricted numbers during the last year. Our House meetings on Tuesdays and Chapel services on Wednesdays promote the sharing of key messages, the celebration of successes and provide a platform for pupil voice and leadership. Crucially, at the midpoint of a busy school week, the walk to and from chapel, and time spent in a special building, give us all time for reflection, awe and wonder. We’re delighted to be back in Chapel and long may it continue.

What’s more, pupil voice will be celebrated in School Council, in the form of a Junior School Council for Years 6 to 9 run by Deputy Heads of School Dana and George, and a Senior School Council for Years 10 to Upper Sixth, run by Heads of School Cesaire and Lucy. The groups will meet a couple of times per Half Term and we look forward to hearing how they get on.

I love the interaction with different Year groups and the change to intersperse academic study with more light-hearted activities. I am really enjoying the enthusiasm and support that I have had from the Upper Sixth. They have been incredibly keen to support Beauchamp House and the younger Year groups in our return to normality this year.
