Senior School Sports Day

The Senior School sports day took place this week with athletes across all year groups taking to the track and field. Some memorable moments included the Herculean/Amazonian efforts of Oliver S and Erica H on the track, Will S, our future head of school,  being lightening quick and compatriot Sophie S competing in almost every event. Rising stars Abi C and Sienna C with their shot put, Darcey M on the track and county champions Henry K (shot) and Cruz B (javelin) impressing the judges.

But one of the real highlights of the day was those who overcame adversity; those pupils who fell and got back up and pupils who failed and tried again and the drama of the relays – a photo finish in the mixed 4x100m, Issy W (Y7) holding off an attack on the home straight by Abi K (Y10) in the vertical relay and the buzz amongst the pupils about which staff were representing their House… A great day all round which truly encompassed our ethos of Sport for All.
