Shooting success for Sixth Former




LOWER SIXTH STUDENT ARCHIE has had a busy summer, winning a number of shooting competitions in his class. Here are some highlights:
April – won the Juniors class at the 25th Anniversary Silver Partridge Clay Shoot; won the Norfolk Young Farmers Clay Shoot, qualifying for the National competition (July).
May – won the Blaser Cup A class as the top scoring Colt (U16’s); won the Colts (U16’s) at the Cheddite Sporting Championship.
June – won the Colts (U16’s) class in the National Gamekeepers Clay Shooting competition.
July – third in the Colts (U16’s) class in the World Sporting Clay Pigeon Shooting Championships (held alternately in the UK and the USA each year, with more than 1500 competitors from around the world); won the under 18’s class in the National Young Farmers Clay Shooting Competition, securing the highest score of the day across Juniors and Seniors.
September – placed third in Sport Trap Colts (U16’s) in the British Sporting Clay Pigeon Championships and second in the Sporting Colts (U16’s).
