The campout before Christmas
‘Twas the Campout before Christmas
and all ‘cross the school
Not a creature was stirring
except for these fools…’
Some of the Prefect team decided that it would be a ‘good’ idea to campout in school grounds just before the end of the Michaelmas term. In tents, without tech and no hot water bottles, they were supervised by the amazing Ms Vinsen, Mr Cooper and Mr Innes (the latter two spent the night under the stars too).
They had an awesome, if very cold, time. Playing games in the cold (Speedy fingers and Dobble); enjoying the peace of the beautiful grounds; drinking lashings of Ginger beer and having a pre-bed hot chocolate. It was very cold and, though they knew they had it as a safety net, none of them went indoors. As a school community we are very proud of their efforts. They were fundraising for St Martin’s Housing Trust, Norwich, and they managed to raise a superb £902.
