‘Under the sea’ in Early Years

1 Early YearsThis week we have been reading the story of The Rainbow Fish and talking about ‘Under the sea.’

Oak class children have been using their fine motor skills and playdough to make their very own Rainbow Fish with lots of ‘sparkle.’ They have all been Creative Connies, making lots of creatures for our ‘Under the sea’ display, with colourful, patterned Rainbow Fish and paper plate jelly fish.

We have also discovered lots of different sea creatures swimming around in the water tray. Rosie said, “Look! It’s a star fish.” Oscar said, “I see some shells.”

In the Acorn room they have also been creating jelly fish to hang in the room and decorated Rainbow Fish with the paint dabbers to create colourful scales.
