Year 4 were treated to a trip back in time this week, exploring the lives of the Romans and Celts. Led by a Celtic lady in traditional dress, the children were split into different tribes and had to appoint a leader.
Their first task was to understand the conduct and culture of their tribe – were they traders, fighters, rich warriors or peaceful folk? Adorned with blue battle paint, they fought against the mighty Roman invasion and learnt about the power of some of the most fearsome fighters in history.
The children had a wonderful time and huge thanks go to Hands on the Past for the interactive workshop.
