Year 2 Electricity Project

The Year 2 children have begun a project on electricity.

It is important for the pupils to realise the dangers and to use items appropriately.  We have discussed the difference between mains and battery powered electricity, featuring an amazing demonstration by Mr Forsey, the Design Technology teacher. Mr Forsey’s demonstration helped the pupil’s to start to understand voltage and power.

In the coming weeks the children will learn to construct circuits to enable bulbs to light, motors to spin and buzzers to sound.  They will also make their own clock to learn to tell the time at home.

It is an exciting project studying electricity. We are looking forward to a brilliant term and excited to see the pupil’s creations.
