Year 2 host French breakfast for parents

Year 2 pupils have been learning French this academic year. The culmination of this was a traditional French Breakfast. Parents got the chance to come into school to have a French breakfast, listen to their children sing and hear them use French sentences in scenarios.

Ms Banks said: “It was a fabulous morning. What could be nicer! The children sang Alouette Gentille Alouette with enthusiasm and energy and looked on by their families, happily enjoying French cheese, ham, and petit baguettes.

The obvious excitement of the children was there to be seen, and they did not miss out on the food but had a picnic on the lawn at the end of the event. It was a lovely beginning to the summer, and the sun shone beautifully.”
