Year 4 spend 3 days at Horsted Residential Centre

Year 4 pupils have spent three days at the Horstead Residential Centre, developing their teamwork, collaboration, independence and leadership skills.

Activities included canoeing, zip line, archery, raft building, bushcraft, and team challenges. For many pupils, it has been their first time away; therefore, it has been a brilliant opportunity and experience for all of them.

Lots of children have overcome their different fears, taking part in individual and team challenges, with lots of feeling proud and supportive of each other. Some quotes from the children were;

‘I was afraid of trying canoeing, but when I had done it, I loved it so much I wanted to sign up to canoeing club” – Poppy T

‘This is the best day of my life!’ – Fergus

‘The zip line was amazing. I didn’t want to go in it to start with, but now I’ve been, I want to go again!” – Yusra
