Year 7 trip to The British Museum
As part of their historical studies, Year 7 visited The British Museum in London last week. After viewing many London landmarks via the coach journey, the pupils arrived at the museum eager to see the exhibits.
The British Museum documents the story of human culture from beginning to present and with artefacts spanning across the world the pupils certainly had lots to see. From the largest and most comprehensive collections in existence with eight million works the highlights for the pupils were the Rosetta Stone, the Elgin Marbles and mummies from Ancient Egypt.
The day was a rewarding and inspiring day steeped in history, bringing the history lessons at Langley to life.
