Year 8 Mentors and Year 3 Mentees

Each year the Year 3 pupils gain a Year 8 mentor when they move into ‘big school’. Last week the Year 3s had lots of fun meeting their Year 8 mentors. Together they spent time in the school grounds, talking about their hobbies and playing games. It was lovely to see the Year 8s looking after and guiding the Year 3s, who were very excited to meet their older friends.

The mentorship is a fantastic programme that offers responsibility and leadership opportunities for our older pupils, as well as a chance for our younger ones to establish relationships and learn from their peers. There are many more opportunities planned throughout the year for the two year groups to meet and have lots of fun together
