“Through effort we succeed”

Children across Pre-prep celebrate Growth Mindset heroes by focusing on a character each day.

In Transition, the children worked like Independent Ivy when getting ready to go outside for playtime. Children in Reception have been like Creative Connies when writing about their pets, using descriptive words.

In Year 1, the children worked like Peter Participator when learning a new sound, trying their best to write their letters with correct formation. They have also worked together like Mac and Mabel when practising for their spring performance or when being weather forecasters.

Year 2 children demonstrated great resilience like Resilient Roger in Literacy, using correct verbs when writing sentences.

Children absolutely love Mrs Skipper’s Singing Assembly, joining in with all the songs about our superheroes. They all know the School’s Motto “Conanti Dabitur! – Through effort we succeed! and enjoy using phrases like “I can’t do it yet!” or “I tried my best!”
