The Langley Football Academy (LFA) is directed by ex-professional and Norwich City legend Grant Holt. The coaching team as a whole is made up of UEFA A Licenced Coaches, former professional players and specialist support staff, including former Norwich City Academy coach Ali Colman. Between them, they have more than 40 years of professional playing and coaching experience, notably in the English Premier League, and importantly they are all extremely passionate about what they do.
For pupils, becoming part of the LFA means training with these former professionals, who have international contacts and links to the most elite clubs in the UK, such as Manchester City. Being an Academy player also means receiving expert strength and conditioning coaching, nutritional advice, post-game analysis, all while following an academic programme.
“There were aspects of my game that the LFA really aided me and helped me with.” LFA alumni who signed a professional contract in 2021 for Ipswich Town FC
The coaching team has high standards and they expect Academy players to perform both in the classroom and on the pitch. Through the LFA, pupils get the best of both worlds; footballing excellence and outstanding academic opportunity. The values of the school are mirrored in the way in which we expect our LFA players to conduct themselves at all times.
Langley School is the official education partner of Norwich City Football Club, providing education and accommodation to their elite academy players.
