Life in Pre-Prep

The journey from Reception to Year 2.

Every child in Pre-Prep takes part in daily Maths and Literacy, plus weekly PE, swimming, music, dance and hobby sessions, all using the fantastic facilities we have on-site. In fact, our heated indoor swimming pool is a stone’s throw from the Pre-Prep playground, complete with its monkey bars and swings!

In the morning, emphasis is on core skills including daily reading, before a topic-based approach in the afternoon, plus sports, languages, outdoor learning in our ancient woodland and creative arts.

Pre-Prep children learn French, Technology and Computing – to name a few – and get to enjoy the incredible 100 acres that surround them. It really is a unique setting, and one that parents describe as “such a nurturing environment”.

Parents also talk about the level of support that their child gets, and the close community between staff, parents and children. They describe their children as “more independent” as they move through Pre-Prep and beyond. Parents have seen their child “flourish” at Langley and, for us, that is the ultimate reward.
