DEI at Langley.
Every person in our diverse school community is nurtured, celebrated and included; belongs.
Recognise, respect and welcome everyone’s different backgrounds, identities and experiences. At Langley, we know people for who they are; we see people’s differences and uniqueness.
Treat everyone the same: fairly and with the same opportunities. We know that every person has different circumstances, so every person has different needs. What we’re really good at is knowing what those needs are.
Everyone is encouraged to retain their uniqueness; no one is ever singled out for being different. Everyone has a sense of belonging and of being valued. Our promise to you is that, at Langley, you will belong.
Promoting diversity, equality and inclusion in education is a legal requirement but, for us, what’s even more vital is that all members of the Langley School community thrive together, and can celebrate uniqueness, in the comfort of their learning environment and workplace.
The Langley Diversity Games is a hugely popular competition that tests pupils through a series of challenges, encouraging them to work in a team, work together and be the best versions of themselves. This is held annually and organised by our Head of DEI, Ade Watts.
“Here at Langley, we have made major strides under the umbrella of ‘Diversity, Equality & Inclusion’. We are proud to have created ‘Safe Spaces’ and increased representation throughout the school.”
