Feeding bodies and minds.
A balanced diet lays the foundations for a healthy mind and body, especially for growing children. It fuels their learning, energy levels, and overall development. Our Langley School catering team offers high-quality meals day in day out, providing all the nutrition that our pupils need to thrive.
Menus are carefully balanced to provide sufficient protein, complex carbohydrates, fruit and vegetables. We cater to many different dietary requirements and preferences, such as vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets. We also insist on hydration via multiple water stations on our campuses.
We consider mealtimes to be an integral part of the school day. Our dining halls are welcoming and inclusive spaces where pupils can relax and build lasting friendships during shared mealtimes.
On our Loddon campus, our Sixth Form students have access to a purpose-built café on site in the Alston Centre, home to our Sixth Form. There is also a ‘tuck shop’ facility at the Senior School in Loddon.
We are privileged to be one of a small number of schools offering the Leiths Level 3 qualification – the top qualification that school-age pupils can earn in all aspects of food preparation and nutrition. The focus is on practical skills via cooking classes, nutrition workshops, and even gardening club, so that pupils learn about healthy eating habits, food preparation and sustainability.
