What to wear.
Sixth Form students are required to wear business attire. This can include suit trousers, business skirts, blouses or shirts, smart shoes and plain V-neck or round neck jumpers in cold weather. All students are expected to wear a suit jacket to school. Male students are expected to wear a tie. If female students wear a skirt, it needs to be an appropriate length for business wear. Vests, camisoles, low-cut blouses, polo necks, leggings or skinny trousers are not appropriate for school.
Dark coloured coats and jackets are permitted in colder weather but they do not replace the suit jacket. House scarves or plain scarves are permitted.
In addition to clothing requirements, the following rules apply:
Neat hair – no ostentatious hair styles.
Long hair should be tied back for practical lessons for safety and hygiene reasons.
Facial hair must be neat and regularly trimmed to maintain a tidy appearance.
Minimal makeup may be worn. Discreet nail polish is acceptable.
Jewellery is permitted but must not be excessive or include any items with offensive symbols.
In all cases, the Head of Sixth Form reserves the right to ask students to remove items or make other changes to ensure that appearance standards are maintained.
