International Admissions At Langley

International Admissions At Langley

We make the application process easy.

We know that researching and finding the best boarding school environment for your child can be a daunting process. We’re here to make the process as easy as possible. To make it easier to get a feel for what we offer at Langley School, we offer virtual meetings and interviews with experts ranging from our Headmaster to our Head of Admissions and Head of EAL (English as an Additional Language). We are also happy to facilitate meetings with subject-matter experts depending on the needs of you and your child.

As a first step, families are encouraged to get in touch via email or WhatsApp to arrange an initial discussion. Following this, applications are made online following the usual application process. Pupils are asked to send a copy of their most recent school report to our Admissions office to accompany the application.

Following an application, an interview with our Head of International Learners or Headmaster will be arranged. Following a successful interview, an offer letter will be issued.

Visas and the Right to Study in the UK

Langley School is licensed as a Child Student sponsor by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) This status allows us to sponsor pupils who require visas to study in the United Kingdom. If your child does not hold a UK passport, they will need to apply for a Child Student visa in order to commence their studies at Langley unless they hold an immigration status that permits them to study in the UK (eg. EU Settled or Pre-settled status)

We use immigration specialists, Sable Education, to support our families as they go through the visa application process. Once we have received the necessary identification documentation, and completed acceptance documents, we will put families in touch with Sable who will guide them through the process from start to finish. Whilst Sable are on hand to support you throughout the process, it is the responsibility of the parents or legal guardians to directly submit the application to UK Visas and Immigration.

For those families applying for a visa, an Admin and Compliance charge of £650 is added to your first term’s invoice.

Guardians

For all pupils whose parents reside outside of the UK, a UK-based guardian is required. This may be an Education Guardianship Organisation, a family member or a family friend (who is aged over 25 years old). They must be contactable and based no further than a 2-hour journey time from the school in order to facilitate care during school holidays and in the event of an emergency.

There are several Guardianship organisations who can assist you in appointing a guardian to meet your family’s needs. We recommend parents refer to the AEGIS (Association for the Education and Guardianship of International Students) website for further information: www.aegisuk.net
