Options for everyone.
BTECs and professional qualifications offer a different route to traditional subjects. They combine technical learning with practical mastery, which make for key skills.
Our BTEC Sport qualifications teach you both the knowledge and practical skills required to pursue a career in the sports industry, either as an athlete or in a support or commercial role in the industry. The qualification is also a recognised university entry qualification and is a recognised pathway into apprenticeships in the sector.
BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Sport is equivalent in size to one A Level.
BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Sport is equivalent in size to two A Levels.
Our BTEC in Performing Arts focuses on three core skills: dancing, singing, and acting. Langley is an ideal place to take this course; we have two fully equipped public performance spaces, two specialist classrooms and seven practice rooms. There are multiple opportunities each year to put theory into practice; we are renowned for our production shows such as Six! The Musical.
A new addition to our curriculum in 2024, the Leiths course is a professionally recognised qualification, providing a pathway to progress to the Level 4 Diploma at Leiths School of Food and Wine in London. The course is assessed via practical assessment by a visiting Leiths examiner, as well as via theory exams. It’s a fabulous springboard for opportunities across the hospitality industry, whether as a chef, food journalist, marketer, or an operational leader. The qualification attracts UCAS points.
