International Admissions

Welcome from all corners of the world.

Application Process

We know that researching and finding the best boarding school environment for your child can be a daunting process. We’re here to make the process as easy as possible. To make it easier to get a feel for what we offer at Langley School, we offer virtual meetings and interviews with experts ranging from our Headmaster to our Head of Admissions and Head of EAL (English as an Additional Language). We are also happy to facilitate meetings with subject-matter experts depending on the needs of you and your child.

To apply to Langley from abroad, pupils are asked to send a copy of their most recent school report to our Admissions office, along with a piece of written work. Successful outcomes will result in the issuing of an offer letter, which will be required by the pupil for their visa application.

Visas and the Right to Study in the UK

Langley School is licensed as a Child Student sponsor by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) This status allows us to sponsor pupils who require visas to study in the United Kingdom. Subject to meeting certain requirements, we will issue you with a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies  (the CAS reference number is connected to the Langley application and will be required throughout the process). The CAS is used by the family to apply for the Child Student visa on behalf of the pupil.

European families will typically be able to complete the application online and will receive an e-digital security clearance once their application has been accepted by the Home Office.

Students applying from outside of Europe will typically be asked to attend an appointment at a Biometric Testing Centre in their home country, and a British Residency Permit (BRP) will be sent via post to be collected at Langley School upon their arrival.

Guardians

For all pupils whose parents reside outside of the UK, a UK-based guardian is required. This may be a family member (who is aged over 25 years old) or a family friend.  They must be contactable and based no further than a 2-hour journey time from the school in order to facilitate care during school holidays and in the event of an emergency.

For pupils and their families who do not have relatives or family friends living in the UK, we can recommend the services of a guardianship company within the UK who will be able to help with travel arrangements and home-stay accommodation when the school is closed during the holidays.
