Reception children discover dinosaurs

Reception children are loving their topic about dinosaurs. They had great fun following dinosaur footprints around the school grounds and discovered a dinosaur nest with dinosaur eggs in. The children now have the eggs in their classrooms and have noticed cracks appearing, and hopefully a baby dinosaur will hatch out soon!

In our Outdoor Learning Centre they made dinosaur skeletons using sticks and twigs, and were very imaginative thinking of names for their dinosaurs.

In Literacy and Maths they have made a confident start working on their letter and number formation, lots of counting and writing has taken place with everyone having lots of fun with it. What a great start to the Reception year.
