The Post – read all about it

This week we caught up with Bella (Beauchamp, Upper Sixth) a School Prefect and the editor of our very own student newspaper, the Perseverando Post. With the next edition coming out at the end of Michaelmas term, The Post is a fantastic new initiative led entirely by our student body.

It all started as an idea for Sixth Form, Bella explained, as originally the newspaper was to cover the goings on of the busy Upper and Lower Sixth at Langley. From there, Bella developed it with her peers into a whole school newspaper, to cover all Year groups and areas of the school.

What makes it a success is that Bella heads up a small team; she talks to her peers with interests in certain topics, so that when they write an article they have a passion and interest in it already. That said, Bella also explained that writing for The Post is a great opportunity to learn and share details of things that perhaps they wouldn’t have otherwise explored.

Bella comments, ‘It’s great to have something that we as a student body can call our own and we felt really proud seeing the first edition when it was finished.’

Discussing topics such as homelessness and LQBTQ+, the next issue is set to be a brilliant one. Look out for it in your inbox this December! In the meantime, recap on the first ever edition here.
