Langley students celebrate fantastic A Level and BTEC results

Langley students are celebrating another fantastic set of A Level and BTEC results this morning.

With 31% of grades at A*-A and 61% at A*-B, our students have worked extremely hard and are moving on to exciting pathways beyond Langley. In BTEC, our results are equally pleasing, with 100% of students achieving Distinction* to Merit grades.

Headmaster Jon Perriss commented: “I am delighted with the fantastic results produced by our A level students and proud of the effort and commitment that they have shown. They have had a tumultuous two years and shown immense resilience and courage in the face of adversity. With so many heading to the destinations of their choosing, they are now ready to face any challenge and opportunity that comes their way. I also want to thank the staff who have brilliantly supported them on this journey”.

There were further strong results across the range of courses, with a large number of A* to B grades achieved in Fine Art (100%) and Geography (60%). Additionally, nine subject areas achieved 100% A* – C grades.

Amongst these results were some terrific individual performances. Frederick Herschel-Shorland achieved three A*s in Art, Chemistry and Maths and is heading onto Cambridge to study Architecture. Abdelaziz Castineira Gamo received an A*, 2 As and a B in Art, Spanish, RE and Politics and has an exciting gap year ahead before studying Arabic. In our BTEC subjects, Aziz Kirke received a double D* in Sport Science alongside Ellen Cunningham, who achieved a Distinction in all three of her subjects and is heading to the University of Essex to read Sports and Exercise Science.

Our congratulations go to every student, and we wish our Leavers well as they find their path and create their individual stories.
