Lower Sixth UCAS Day

Do you know your 4FTs from your 5SWs? Your Personal Statements from your CVs? Your BAs from your BScs?

You need a UCAS Day!

Fortunately, we had one at the Senior School on Thursday, as we do every year, for our Lower Sixth cohort.

Traversing the pitfalls of university application can be a difficult path. Fortunately, the Sixth Form staff provide a detailed and complete explanation to their wards of the common mistakes and key skills needed to be successful.

With three focussed sessions on the day; ‘picking the right university and course’; ‘Writing a Personal Statement’ and ‘Other options’ – how to apply for an apprenticeship or other jobs.

Students learnt how to apply for University using the UCAS website and make the most use of the programme Unifrog. Students were also made aware of the deadlines they needed to consider.

It’s an important day for all students in the Lower Sixth – we are sure they made the most out of it!
