Where did you join Langley from/what was your previous role?

I run my own swim business and have been teaching swimming for 26 years.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your role at Langley…

I have always enjoyed swimming and after a short spell competing, I decided teaching suited me better. I teach all the children at Langley by singing songs and learning through play with the younger children, focusing on technique, speed and stamina with the more able and ensuring all know how to keep themselves safe in and around water.

What do you enjoy most about your role at Langley?

The children at Langley are a pleasure to teach, they are always keen and excited to learn new skills in the pool. Teaching the children from our Transition Class all the way through the school to Year 8 allows me to see their progression and confidence grow.

Any hobbies/interests outside of school?

I enjoy visiting the beach and having a dip in the sea, taking long walks with my dog and dancing when the opportunity arises.

I have my level one certificate in ice skating!
