Dan Foster – Head of Academic PE
Where did you join Langley from/what was your previous role?
Langley is my first teaching job. I started as a resident graduate here in 2019 and have worked here ever since. I have been involved in PE, Games, Boarding, Psychology, and even a little bit of Food Prep when I first started.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your role at Langley…
My role is to oversee the academic provision for all Langley pupils with regards to Physical Education. This involves the Year 6-8 PE curriculum, the Year 9 PE option curriculum and then running the GCSE and BTEC courses at the school. I am also a Year 11 form tutor and teach on the Games program, mainly contributing to rugby, hockey and cricket over the 3 school terms.
What do you enjoy most about your role at Langley?
Helping pupils to achieve their maximum potential both in and out of the classroom and the family feel which the school brings.
Any hobbies/interests outside of school?
I play rugby and cricket and love to paddleboard.
A fun fact about yourself.
I can complete a Rubik’s cube in under 5 minutes.
