Meet the Team: Nikola Bodmer-Tripp, Deputy Head (Pastoral) and Teacher of History and PDE
Name & Job Title.
Nikola Bodmer-Tripp. Deputy Head, Pastoral and Teacher of History and PDE
Where did you join Langley from/what was your previous role?
I joined Langley in 2014, coming from a nearby school as Head of History, Edexcel Examiner, Head of PDE and part of a Lead History Teacher network in Norfolk.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your role at Langley…
My role at Langley is working with our pastoral teams and staff to ensure that the young people in our care are equipped with the skills and support to make the most of their time at Langley and be ready for the world outside.
What do you enjoy most about your role at Langley?
I most enjoy watching our pupils achieve things they wouldn’t be able to, both academically and personally, and the self-confidence that this brings them.
Any hobbies/interests outside of school?
I play tenor saxophone in a quartet, love singing, theatre and travelling. I love cooking but am appalling at baking (I’m hoping pupils who run bake sales to raise money in school havn’t noticed that my contributions are always shop bought). I like pushing myself outside of my comfort zone and learning to do new things- before the covid pandemic hit I learned to ride motorbikes.
