27th May 2026
From 15th–21st June, Langley School is delighted to be celebrating National Boarding Week – a highlight of the boarding calendar and a wonderful opportunity to experience boarding and take part in a range of fun house activities!
Organised each year by the Boarding Schools’ Association, National Boarding Week brings together boarding schools across the country for a week filled with fun, creativity and connection. Since its launch in 2017, the initiative has aimed to shine a light on the unique and enriching experience that boarding offers, while celebrating the lasting impact it has on young people’s lives.
At its heart, National Boarding Week is about community. It is a time when students come together across houses and year groups to take part in a wide range of inclusive activities, designed to ensure there is something for everyone.
This year’s celebrations are especially meaningful, marking 60 years of the Boarding Schools’ Association. The week will feature a series of themed activities inspired by this special occasion, encouraging students to get involved, challenge themselves and enjoy all that boarding life has to offer.

National Boarding Week is the ideal time for Prep School and Senior School pupils (from Year 6 upwards) and non-boarders to enjoy a fun range of activities in a relaxed, supportive and welcoming environment.
Whether it’s staying for just one night, a couple of evenings, or taking part throughout the week, flexi boarding offers a fantastic opportunity for children to spend time with friends, enjoy a memorable night away from home, and experience the excitement of boarding life in a low-pressure way. With special activities planned each day and plenty of pupils joining in together, it also gives parents a well-deserved night off while children make the most of a lively and enjoyable week.
