Langley School is delighted to announce a series of significant leadership appointments that will further strengthen its commitment to delivering an exceptional educational experience for every pupil.
Following a rigorous recruitment process, Langley has appointed a new Head of School for Langley Senior School, a Deputy Head (Pastoral), and a new Head of Sport, bringing together a wealth of experience, expertise, and ambition as Langley looks ahead to the next academic year.
Langley School is delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Farrah Daniels as Head of School, Langley Senior School from September 2026.
Farrah joins Langley from Wymondham College, where she currently serves as Assistant Principal. With 19 years of experience in senior school leadership, she has developed a strong reputation for translating strategic vision into practical action, driving improvements in teaching quality, pupil outcomes, and school performance.
Throughout her career, Farrah has successfully balanced high expectations with a supportive and collaborative leadership style, delivering impressive results for students and staff alike.
Commenting on her appointment, Farrah said:
“I am honoured to be joining Langley School as Head of School. Langley has so much to be proud of: a remarkable setting, dedicated staff, and students with real potential. My focus will be on working closely with families, staff, and the wider community to ensure every student receives the outstanding education they deserve. I am genuinely excited about what we will achieve together.”
Prior to her role at Wymondham College, Farrah held senior leadership positions at North Walsham High School and Unity City Academy Trust in Middlesbrough. A Science specialist by background, she brings extensive experience of school improvement and educational leadership.
Langley is also delighted to welcome back Mr Mike Jones, who has been appointed Deputy Head (Pastoral). This role is pivotal, bringing together responsibility for wellbeing provision, behaviour standards, and ensuring that the relationship between home and school is a partnership for the benefit of the child.
Mike joins Langley from Wymondham College, where he has served as Assistant Principal for the past three years, leading pastoral strategy across the school. Alongside this role, he has been Head of Cavell House, with responsibility for the academic progress, wellbeing, and behaviour of approximately 300 pupils.
Mike is already a familiar face to many within the Langley community. Before joining Wymondham College, he spent eight years at Langley, serving as Head of Years 10 and 11 and Director of Cricket, making a significant contribution to school life both inside and outside the classroom.
His return represents an exciting homecoming and reinforces Langley’s commitment to providing outstanding pastoral care and support for every pupil.
Mike comments on his new role: “Langley School played a significant role in my development as a teacher and leader, so returning as Deputy Head (Pastoral) is both a privilege and a very special moment for me personally. I am incredibly excited to become part of the community once again and to continue building a culture where young people feel known, supported, and challenged to thrive.”
Langley School is equally pleased to confirm the appointment of Mr Jonny Wheeler as Head of Sport for Langley Senior School.
Currently Head of Rugby, Jonny has been instrumental in driving improvements in rugby performance and expanding community and club outreach opportunities. His passion for sport, pupil development, and sporting excellence has already had a significant impact across the school.
In his new role, Jonny will work closely with Peter Taylor, Head of Sport at Langley Prep, and Grant Holt, Director of Football, to ensure a seamless sporting pathway from the earliest years through to Sixth Form. Together, they will help deliver an ambitious vision for sport that offers exceptional opportunities for participation, performance, and personal development.
Jonny reflects on his new role: “I am honoured to accept the role of Head of Sport. My commitment is to ensure that every pupil has the opportunity to thrive, grow in confidence, and discover what they are capable of. Sport is about far more than fixtures; it is about character, belonging, and representing Langley’s values with pride both on and off the field. My vision is to build a sporting culture where every pupil is supported to reach their potential and where excellence is celebrated.”
