Year 2 pupils enjoyed a variety of craft and Design & Technology projects this half term, which have been connected to either Science or History topics. The photographs below show children making clock faces, which will be put together as circuits with hands and batteries.
The Great Fire of London has been another very exciting topic for Year 2 children to investigate. They have been using pastels to create the image of fire, with houses silhouetted in the foreground. The three-dimensional Tudor buildings that pupils have been building have now been finished and are ready for burning in our Forest School area.
Along with these projects, children depicted their ideas of the fire in clay and have enjoyed painting realistic colours on them. All in all it’s been a busy time!
