Last week, our school community was treated to the remarkable production of “Bound for Broadway,” which ran for three consecutive nights from Thursday to Saturday in our Sixth Form Alston Centre. This event not only showcased the incredible talent of our pupils and students but also brought together friends, family, and staff in a shared celebration of the performing arts.
The energy and excitement in the theatre were palpable as the lights dimmed and the curtain rose, revealing a vibrant lineup of musical numbers from some of the most beloved shows in Broadway history. Each performance was a testament to the dedication and hard work the students put into their roles, and their passion for the stage shone brightly throughout the production.
A special thank you goes to the Friends of Langley, who provided refreshments during the show, enhancing the experience for all attendees. The local beer from Bull of the Woods Brewery was a delightful addition, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that encouraged socializing and celebration during intermissions.
Thank you to all the staff who assisted during the rehearsals and evenings!
As we reflect on this successful event, it’s important to highlight not just the performances, but the teamwork and camaraderie that went into making “Bound for Broadway” a reality. We’re incredibly proud of our students and pupils who took part behind the scenes and on stage.
