Last week, Langley Prep School hosted their annual Bullard House music competition, showcasing the incredible talents of our pupils from both the prep and pre-prep divisions. With each house represented by two teams, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation as the young performers took the stage.
The competition was tough, but ultimately, the Wrens claimed first place with a spectacular rendition of their chosen songs, ‘Oh Happy Day’ and ‘Summer of ’69’. The Crows followed closely, securing second place, while the Hawks and Owls showcased their talents, finishing third and fourth, respectively. It was truly a delight to witness the enthusiasm and dedication of all the performers.
Organised by our Director of Music at Prep, Lucinder Pennick-Yiasimi, the event marked a valuable opportunity for pupils to experience the joy of musical collaboration. We would like to extend our gratitude to our judges, Emma Dale and Geoff Green.
Emma, a member of the Langley School alumni, has an impressive background in the Arts, having served as the Director of Music at Beeston Hall. Geoff brings 25 years of experience in music education and is the Head of Performing Arts at Langley Senior School, where he inspires students with his passion for music and drama.
Congratulations to all houses for their outstanding performances, and we look forward to many more musical moments in the future!
