Christmas time at the Prep School

Here are just some of the festive events and activities that we’ve all enjoyed at the Prep School recently. It got very festive as pupils from Early Years to Year 8 got stuck into their Christmas lunch and fully embraced Christmas jumper day.

Staff and pupils alike joined a number of Carol Services around the Yew Hedge, with readers pictured below. While it wasn’t possible to record the event due to the weather we look forward to seeing the recording made by the Senior School of our Choir.

The Domestic team invited pupils from Early Years to Year 8 to design and make their own decorations for the Dining Hall tree and the team then presented prizes to pupils from each Year for the most creative decorations. The winners were Martha H (Early Years), Sophie B (Reception), Benjamin A (Year 2), Abbey M (Year 3), Freya D and Charlotte M and Abigail B of Year 4, Amelia L (Year 5), Sofia H (Year 6), Daisy L (Year 7) and Issy M (Year 8).

Our Year 3 and 4 pupils danced the afternoon away with staff in the Sports Hall, led by the wonderful Mrs Chamberlin.

Year 7 pupils completed an Escape Room from the North Pole challenge.

While Years 3 and 4 created personalised Christmas cards for the residents of Eastland’s Care Home, Taverham
