F24 Greenpower Racing Team Visits Lotus Cars

Our F24 Greenpower racing team recently enjoyed an unforgettable trip to the Lotus manufacturing facility, thanks to our victory in the local F24 Green Power go-karting heat last September. This opportunity was a special prize for our talented Design and Technology scholars, who were eager to delve into the world of automotive engineering.

During the visit, the team had the chance to witness the intricate process of how Lotus cars are crafted. It was fantastic to how the Emira is manufactured from the start, where the engines are configured, to the final rolling road testing stages. The day was filled with excitement and inspiration, igniting a deeper passion for engineering among our scholars.

Our F24 team is already setting their sights on returning to Hethel this summer, where they will race the car once again. Thank you to Lotus for generously hosting our scholars and providing such a remarkable experience. We look forward to our next adventure on the track!
