Not even the rain could stop the Langley Spirit as we celebrated our annual Icenian Afternoon at the end of the Trinity Term here at Langley School.
The Icenian Afternoon, which was wonderfully organised this year by Luca Feser, is an opportunity for anyone who has ever had an association with Langley School – students, staff and parents – including that of Langley Prep School, Thorpe House School and Taverham Hall – to come together again. This event is a key date in the diary for members of The Langley Society – and this year did not disappoint with an array of sporting fixtures, food stalls and opportunities to see old friends!
Although the weather called off a planned cricket match, great fun was still had by all as teams of Icenians went head-to-head with current pupils in exciting games of netball and football.
The Icenian Afternoon was not only a chance for people to return to the school, but a brilliant chance for our departing Sixth Form students to engage with this society that they automatically join after moving on from life at Langley.
