We’re delighted to share with you that we have been shortlisted for another award this year, in the Outstanding New Initiative category in the Independent School of the Year 2023 Awards.
Our award submission focuses on the digital transformation that the school has embarked upon over the past few years.
This year the judges are particularly interested in the innovative work being undertaken in independent schools. Hundreds of schools from across the country have submitted entries, so we are delighted that we have made the shortlist.
Sam Youngs, Director of Digital Service said: “This award nomination is recognition of all the hard work that has been put in by staff, parents and pupils and it is testament to how far we have come in terms of digital provision at the school. It’s also a great catalyst as we continue our journey with the use of technology and ultimately equip our pupils and students with the skills they need for their futures.”
The judges were particularly impressed with how the use of technology is now firmly embedded in the curriculum; for example, science experiment feedback can be captured in real time, shared with pupil devices, and linked with homework; while our sports scholars can now monitor physical load, performance and recovery with new STATSports GPS units. The one-to-one devices also allow for a seamless transition between age groups and key stages of their school career.
Earlier this year, we were also delighted to be shortlisted for ‘Best Use of Technology’ in the Tes School Awards 2023.
The winners will be announced in October.
